A detailed assessment of the home is completed then assistance is provided to the individual to support with minor and major adaptions in order to make it safe and accessible

Falls Prevention and Mobility Review
Comprehensive falls management plan and advice to reduce the frequency of falls and safeguard in the event of falls.
This may also include functional mobility and capacity assessment with activities of daily living retraining.

Wheelchair Recommendations
Manual and power wheelchair recommendations to ensure the wheelchair will meet the individual’s safety and needs.

Adaptive Equipment
Home aids and adaptation advice, including technology or devices that help people perform tasks with greater ease and/or independence

Personalised assessments and innovative techniques to prevent pressure ulcers, prioritising comfort

Specialised Seating Assessments
Enhance comfort and mobility through our specialised seating solutions. Benefit from tailored assessments and strategies to improve posture and independence

Fees vary based on travel distance.

Home Care Packages
OT services can be provided to home care packages in the Brisbane Area. Please discuss this with your case manager if you'd like to be referred.

Private Health Insurance
Please check with your private health insurance providers for advice on coverage, many providers do cover Occupational Therapy as an extra.

OT services can be self-funded. Please contact us for further information.

NDIS Funded
Our NDIS-funded OT services can be provided through self-managed and plan-managed. When establishing your plan, OT Life Au can be elected as your preferred provider.

Founder and Principal Occupational Therapist
Katie is an Brisbane-based Occupational Therapist that enjoys working with people to achieve their goals, despite their disability by creating goals that are meaningful and motivating to them.
Katies’ international experiences in the United Kingdom and Australia range from community practice and hospital settings.
After spending over a decade working in a variety of health care roles closely with people who are elderly, have a disability, or have acquired an injury, Katie has done the soul work to identify her next step in her career, took the leap, and founded ‘OT Life Australia’ in Brisbane 2024.
